Final Product Progression

This week was great for my preparation as I complete my Final Product. I was able to conduct an in-depth study on liver cirrhosis by reading research papers, articles, and videos that introduced the different etiologies, prognoses, diagnoses, and treatments. It solidified my interest in the pursuit of my Final Product focus on liver cirrhosis due to its small pool of feasible treatment options and high mortality rate coupled with an increasing prevalence of the disease even in non-alcoholic individuals. Furthermore, I researched different online and tangible models that I could represent my progress through. I compiled my findings into my Product Progress Assessment.

Next week, I intend to meet my mentor and collaborate with Dr. Mutha to re-iterate our goals, ask for advice, and learn from him about his clinical experience with the disease. I also plan to draft an introduction and overview of my Final Product and get it approved by Dr. Mutha. Moreover, I will sketch a rough draft of my model and research materials and models I could translate into my draft. I will also polish my Display Board and prepare for my Research Showcase with the advice of my peers, Ms. Penney (my teacher), and Dr. Mutha.

I am looking forward to working on my Final Product throughout this month.
