This week in ISM I focused heavily on my Original Work and finding credible sources to support my product. Moreover, I incorporated various infographics and plan to include flyers to showcase certain highlights of my project. Through my research this week, I learned about how the various practice of human microbiome therapies, including probiotics, and the role they play today. As the public becomes more aware of the importance of maintaining their microbiome, these therapies will be sought out. Through my Original Work, I wish for the public to become more aware of the key roles microbiomes play in their health. Next semester, I plan to focus my research on bioengineering microbiome studies to find connections between bacteria and aging, and many more ailments. Furthermore, I plan to contact more professionals including physicians, scientists, and medical professionals to gain a clinical understanding of how the microbiome influences their daily practice today.

Next week, I look forward to polishing my research and having it proofread by professionals in my field. Moreover, I will plan the outline of my Display Board for my presentation and make drafts for the infographics, visuals, and research I will include. I look forward to learning about my peers' Original Work projects and understanding their fields of study - and sharing my journey from genetics to the human microbiome.
